Dual fuel Diesel-Biomethane for road transport
A dual fuel Diesel - Biomethane system for road transport is a relevant means of using biomethane as a fuel for heavy duty trucks. This has been experienced and developed by Hardstaff Group (U.K.) since the early 2000 through the so-called technology OIGI®. Such trucks use Diesel for starting and then run with biomethane. This technology is can use either Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) or Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) including biomethane, maximising the environmental benefits associated with...
250 participants at the Biogasmax Conference in Göteborg - Biomethane increasingly raises interests
The "European Biomethane Fuel Conference" held in Göteborg on 7th - 9th of September 2009 was a great success. The 250 participants coming from 30 different nations and the 33 speakers made clearly the Conference to be a major event on biomethane at the international level. Biogasmax outcomes have been disseminated thanks to this congress whose large audience will clearly contribute to the future market expansion of biomethane fuel.
Methane emissions from upgrading plants: how to limit them ?
The crucial point of biogas upgrading is the methane emission or often called methane slip. This was stressed during the European Conference on Biomethane Fuel in Göteborg, through both Arthur's Wellinger's and Jan-Paul Lindner's presentations, at the plenary session 2 and at the training session 3 on biogas upgrading of the Biogasmax final conference.
Towards a EU legislation on biowaste? Proceedings of Brussels seminar (June 2009)

Sweden: proposal of national goal for biogas
Biogas can play an important role in the ambition to decrease the emission of greenhouse gases from the transport sector. In the Swedish regions Skåne and Västra Götaland there´s a huge potential and good conditions for production, distribution and end-use of biogas. A survey of the potential for biogas in Sweden has been made. The survey shows that it is reasonable to set a national goal of 20 TWh biogas by the year 2020. This can be compared to the 1,5 TWh biogas that´s being...
European Biogas Association (EBA) makes proposals to European Commission
The European Biogas Association (EBA), based in Brussels, aims to promote sustainable biogas production and use in Europe. Starting with 11 members in February 2009 - all national biogas associations - EBA's membership comprises currently 17 national biogas associations, institutes and companies from 16 countries all across Europe including several new member states and covering all different parts of Europe.
