Germany : new legal tools on grid injection
The European Institute for Energy Research (EIFER), based in Karlsruhe, has entered in the « Biogasmax Circle Friends ». EIFER presented, 16th of June, to BIOGASMAX partners the legal framework regarding the grid injection of biomethane in Germany. France/Czech Rep.: European Commission approves state aid to transport sector
Brussels, Belgium, 25th May 2009; The European Commission has announced not to raise any objections under the EC Treaty state aid rules to the financial support of the transport sector in France. The French approach particularly supports urban CNG buses and service trucks and also mentions biomethane. The Commission also decided positively on the Czech state aid request which supports projects for constructing and upgrading alternative refuelling stations for public transport operators. The...
Visit the exhibition of Gas Vehicles!
In connection to the European Biomethane Fuel Conference 7 - 9 September 2009, Gothenburg, Sweden gas vehicles from among others Ford, Mercedes, Opel and Volkswagen will be on display outside Storan. Take the opportunity to see some of the gas vehicles on our roads while getting briefed by representatives from retailers. The exhibition will take place September 7, time 10-17.
Swedish Public Transportation Authorities and bus Companies searching for partners
Presently, several swedish Public Transportation Authorities and bus companies are looking for partners who could provide LBG (liquified Biogas) + Dual Fuel technology. The point is to convert current diesel buses to operate primarily on bio-methane. This project has to begin as soon as possible. A pilote test will be carried out during 2009, and if it is sucessful, the concept will be implemented on a large scale, in Sweden and others countries.
Guinness Book entry for the fastest biomethane vehicle for a speed record
On the 29th April, 2009, the German TÜV Rheinland group with TÜV Saarland automobil GmbH, an NGVA Europe member, presented the world's fastest Natural Gaz Vehicle. The Audi A4 model, converted to Compressed Natural Gas and powered by biomethane, reached the speed of 364,6 Km/h, on the F1 racetrack at Nürburgring. Therefore, this vehicle entered in the Guinness Book for holding the world record for the fastest Natural Gaz vehicle.
Västra Götaland, a leading world class region within Biogas
Western Sweden shall become a leading region within Biogas, says Anneli Hulthén, chairman of the Gothenburg Municipality executive board. Now she wants to create a biogas cluster that positions Western Sweden in the forefront.
Biomethane on a European level: which opportunities?
European Commission's responses on the 7th-9th September in Göteborg ! Anne Houtman, Director at the European Commission, will provide responses and key elements to this question at the EUROPEAN CONFERENCE ON BIOMETHANE FUEL ORGANISED BY BIOGASMAX. International Workshop on Anaerobic Digestion: an old story for today and tomorrow
December 10-11th 2009, Narbonne, France. Dr. René Moletta, the founder of the “Laboratoire de Biotechnologie de l’Environnement” (LBE-INRA) has been active for more than 30 years in promoting Anaerobic Digestion all over the world, both at the scientific level and in an industrial perspective. Biogas to biomethane: an ISET conference about the upgrading process
On February the 21th, 2008, our Biogasmax partner ISET organized an event around the topic « biogas upgrading to biomethane », key step of the transformation of biogas into bio-methane. Numbers of experts tackled technical, economic and legislative questions, while other ones came to present their own country experience.
